Share your experience
You’ve done something
someone else is trying
to figure out.
Make your first-hand experience available for a conversation. Help someone make a better decision by sharing what actually happened when you did it.

Not mentoring.
Not consulting.
Just experience worth sharing.
You choose the specific things you’ve done that you’re comfortable talking about. When someone has a relevant question, we can match you for a one-to-one conversation.
Share something specific
Not “small business owner.” More like: “I bought and operate three laundromats.”
Talk about what actually happened
The decisions. The mistakes. The surprises. What worked, what didn’t, and what you’d do differently.
Only talk when there’s a relevant match
No content to create, no need to be constantly available. We contact you when someone’s request fits your experience.
Your experience is more
useful than you think.
Help someone avoid expensive mistakes
A short conversation can save someone weeks of research — or prevent a costly decision.
Get paid for your time
When you accept a paid conversation, you’re compensated for the time you make available.
Choose what you talk about
You decide which experiences you make available.
Stay in control
You decide whether to accept a conversation, and when you’re available.
No content creation. No audience required. No ongoing commitment.
You don’t need to be famous.
You need to have done it.
The most useful experience is often sitting with people who don’t consider themselves experienced enough to matter.
- Bought an existing business
- Opened a local business from scratch
- Used SBA financing for an acquisition
- Opened a franchise location
- Managed the first year of a restaurant
- Selected and negotiated a commercial lease
- Built a business and later sold it
- Bought a business that didn’t work out
- Expanded from one location to several
- Closed a business and learned what went wrong
What went wrong can be just as valuable as what worked.
Share once.
Talk when it matters.

Real experience only
If you say you’ve done it,
we want to know you actually have.
Every experience is reviewed before it becomes available. We may ask for supporting information, or a short conversation, to understand and verify what you’ve done.
Verification may include
- Professional or business profiles
- Company or business information
- Public ownership records where relevant
- Supporting documentation
- A short conversation with us
The goal isn’t to create bureaucracy. It’s to protect the quality of the network.
What have you done?
Tell us about an experience you think could help someone else.
Optional.
Be specific. “Small business” is broad. “Bought and operate three laundromats” is useful.
Optional, but helpful.
A website, LinkedIn profile, business page or other relevant link is helpful. You can add more than one, one per line.
Optional. Anything that shows the business is (or was) yours — for example a business license, registration, purchase agreement or tax document. Files stay private and are only used to verify your experience. Up to 5 files, 10 MB each.
Submitting doesn’t commit you to accepting any conversations.
Questions?
Fair enough.
- Do I need to be an expert?
- No. What matters is that you’ve actually done something someone else is trying to understand. Specific first-hand experience is more important than a title or an online audience.
- Do I have to accept every conversation?
- No. We contact you when there’s a relevant request and you decide whether you want to take it.
- Will I get paid?
- Paid conversations compensate you for the time you make available. We’ll explain the price and terms before you accept any conversation.
- How do you verify experience?
- We review every submission and may use public information, supporting links or a short conversation with you to verify that the experience is genuine.
- What if my experience didn’t end well?
- That can be extremely useful. People often need to understand what went wrong just as much as what went right.
- Can I share more than one experience?
- Yes. The more specific each experience is, the easier it is to match you with the right questions.
